The Story Behind My Paintings

My joy of painting comes from my son.

He inspires me in ways I never expected, and his presence has become part of the way I see the world. When he’s happy, I find myself reaching for brighter colors. When he’s having a grumpy day, the skies might become filled with storm clouds. When he reaches a new milestone, the colors in my paintings change with the excitement and pride I feel as I watch him grow.

My paintings are more than landscapes. They are reflections of the moments we share.

Every color, cloud, ray of sunshine, and change in the scenery represents something I’m feeling as I experience fatherhood. His laughter can bring sunshine to a painting. A difficult day might bring rain. A new accomplishment might make the entire landscape come alive.

In a way, my son is part of every painting I create.

As he grows, I hope my paintings will continue to grow with him—capturing little pieces of his childhood and the emotions that come with watching someone you love discover the world.

This is why I paint.

Because he inspires me to turn my feelings into colors, and to find beauty in every kind of day.
